Currently, Vamo does not provide default insurance coverage for deliveries.
Why is insurance not provided by default?
Vamo primarily supports hyperlocal deliveries involving:
- Food
- Grocery
- Daily-use products
These categories typically operate on fast delivery cycles and are not covered under standard shipment insurance models.
Can merchants request insurance?
Yes. Merchants who require insurance for deliveries may contact Vamo separately to explore custom insurance arrangements where feasible.
What happens if an order is damaged or lost?
Vamo’s maximum liability shall not exceed the order value associated with the shipment.
Is Vamo responsible for packaging quality?
No. Merchants are fully responsible for:
- Packaging quality
- Product handling standards
- Product safety
Improper packaging may void eligibility for compensation.
Does Vamo insure prohibited or restricted items?
No. Prohibited items are not eligible for transportation or insurance under any circumstances.
